Leverage the Platform of CIIE to Innovatively Promote Trade and Investment Cooperation

——湖北省贸促会在上海成功举办专场招待会并开展系列经贸对接活动

CCPIT Hubei Successfully Hosting Hubei Reception and Conducting Business Activities at CIIE

为充分利用第三届上海进口博览会平台和资源，向世界展示英雄湖北新形象、新成就、新优势、新机遇，11月4日至7日，章笑梅会长率队赴上海成功举办湖北专场招待会并圆满完成进博会系列活动。

To make full use of the platform and resources of the 3rd China International Import Expo, present to the world the new image, new achievements, new strengths and new opportunities of heroic Hubei, President Zhang Xiaomei led a team to Shanghai, successfully held a reception of Hubei Province and conducted business activities at CIIE from November 4th to 7th.

11月5日，夜幕降临，黄浦江两岸华灯璀璨，流光溢彩。由我会主办，上海市贸促会、瑞典贸易与投资促进委员会协办的“凤凰涅槃宏图展中部崛起再出发--湖北专场招待会”在上海成功举办。中国贸促会副会长张慎峰出席会议并讲话，部分驻华使领馆、友好商协会、重点外资企业、中央及地方权威媒体代表齐聚一堂，共议湖北疫后重振大计，章笑梅会长主持招待会。

On the evening of November 5th, a reception themed as “Rising Phoenix from the flames Soaring High at Central China”, sponsored by CCPIT Hubei and co-organized by Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai and Business Sweden, was held along the Huangpu River when lights turned on illuminating the both sides. Mr. Zhang Shenfeng, Vice President of CCPIT, addressed the audience. Diplomatic envoys, representatives from business associations, foreign-funded enterprises and media at national and local level gathered and discussed about post-pandemic development of Hubei. President Zhang Xiaomei of CCPIT Hubei presided over the event.

张慎峰副会长在讲话中表示，2020年对于湖北而言，是极不平凡的一年。面对新冠肺炎疫情，湖北人民识大体、顾大局，作出巨大牺牲和重大贡献。湖北省作为长江经济带、“一带一路”的重要节点，经济基础雄厚，工业门类齐全，科教优势明显，发展后劲巨大、前景广阔。希望中外商协会、企业通过招待会进一步加深了解沟通，为中部崛起注入更多发展活力。

Mr. Zhang pointed out in his speech that the year 2020 was quite special for the people of Hubei. In face of COVD-19, they made great sacrifices and contributions. As an important node of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and Belt and Road Initiative, Hubei, with strong economic foundation, all industrial categories and outstanding strengths in science and education, boasts great potentials and bright prospects for development. He hopes that Chinese and foreign business associations and enterprises could deepen their understanding of the province and inject more vitality for the rise of Central China.

土耳其驻华大使馆首席商务参赞哈坎·科查特奇先生、法国驻武汉总领事贵永华先生、瑞典投资署大中华区总监朱彬先生、日本贸易振兴机构（JETRO）武汉代表处首席代表佐伯岳彦先生、日本瑞穗银行武汉分行行长山口真一先生先后发言，高度赞赏湖北在这次抗击疫情中表现的精神品质和防控成果，一致表示看好湖北未来长期发展，并推动企业继续加大对湖北投资，实现合作共赢。

Mr. Hakan Kizartici, Chief Commercial Counselor of Turkish Embassy in Beijing, Mr. Olivier Guyonvarch, Consul General of France in Wuhan, Mr. Zhu Bin, Director of Business Sweden Greater China, Mr. Saeki Takehiko, Chief Representative of JETRO Wuhan and Mr. Yamaguchi Shinichi, General Manager of Mizuho Bank Wuhan Branch made remarks, speaking highly of Hubei’s efforts and achievements in fighting the pandemic. They unanimously expressed their confidence in future development and agreed mobilizing companies for more investment and win-win cooperation.

章笑梅会长强调，经过大战大考的洗礼，英雄的湖北人民正牢记习近平总书记嘱托，大力弘扬伟大抗疫精神，化危为机、危中寻机。湖北经济长期向好的基本面没有改变，多年积累的综合优势没有改变，在国家和区域发展中的重要地位没有改变，正日益成为新时代我国经济社会高质量发展的战略要地、开放高地、投资宝地。湖北省贸促会将始终秉承服务宗旨，充分发挥贸易投资促进职能，竭诚提供全链条保姆式服务。招待会得到了社会各界的高度关注和大力支持，中央广电总台国际在线、光明日报、经济日报、中国商务新闻网、湖北日报、湖北卫视等十多家媒体对活动进行了报道。

President Zhang Xiaomei emphasized that the heroic people of Hubei, bearing in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions, are carrying forward great spirit of combating COVID-19 and seeking opportunities amid challenges. The good fundamentals of Hubei's economy in the long run remain unchanged, comprehensive advantages accumulated over the years remain unchanged and its important position in national and regional development remains unchanged. It’s growing into a land of strategic significance and a highland of opening-up and investment for China’s high-quality development in the new era. CCPIT Hubei will always serve wholeheartedly and faithfully fulfill duties of trade and investment promotion. The reception attracted wide attention and was reported by about ten media outlets, including CRI Online, Guangming Daily, Economic Daily, ComNews, Hubei Daily and Hubei TV.

进博会期间，章笑梅会长率队先后到湖北形象展示馆观看了“英雄湖北”“开放高地”“产业引领”“优良环境”等主题展；应邀参观了重点国家及友好商协会在进博会的展区和展示，了解各国新产品、新技术、新服务，挖掘对鄂产业合作潜力，就引进境外优势行业领军企业来鄂参展做了交流对接；出席了首届“法中生态俱乐部”研讨会，围绕城市可持续发展和绿色交通出行深入探讨，并就中法多双边合作机制湖北联络办建设，与法国驻华大使馆使节、中国法国工商会代表等交换意见；出席了中国中部·湖北通城国际招商对接专场活动并致辞。

During the CIIE, President Zhang led the team to Hubei exhibition area which is focused on heroic Hubei, opening-up, industries and business environment, visited booths and attended activities by foreign business associations, keeping up with new products, new technologies and new services and introducing industrial giants to exhibitions in Hubei. The team also joined in the first thematic event of the French Eco-City Club in China, made friendly exchanges with diplomats at French Embassy in China and staffs of CCI France Chine and addressed the promotion conference of Tongcheng county.

此次赴沪之行，我会组织行业企业和商协会参会洽谈，为加强湖北对外多层次合作开展了宣传推介、广泛交流，达到了新发展格局下服务湖北贸易投资合作、疫后重振和高质量发展的目的。

CCPIT Hubei organized companies and associations for CIIE exhibitions and business discussion and carried out promotion and extensive networking to help strengthen multi-tiered cooperation between Hubei and the outside world under the new development pattern and to facilitate post-epidemic revitalization as well as high-quality development.
